A region as special as California's Central Coast attracts special winemakers. After receiving his degree in plant sciences from UC Davis in 1979, Rick Boyer made his way to the Central Coast. He immediately fell in love with the region – just as Robert Mondavi had years before – and began making wine. Before long Rick's distinct style and enviable reputation helped him rise to chief winemaker at several respected Central Coast wineries.
